Please plan to attend Coffee, Cocoa, and Community Conversations, a hybrid event featuring Dr. Doretha Williams from the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) Robert F. Smith Center. Dr. Doretha Williams will join us via Zoom.
This collaboration promotes education, preservation, and meaningful connections in African American history.
Discussion topics will include:
- Strengthening partnerships with NMAAHC and local organizations
- The ongoing A. Grace Lee Mims Arts & Culture Oral History Project
- Strategic planning for the African American History Gallery
- Upcoming professional development workshops
- Programs in the Kulas Foundation-funded Music, Medicine, and More series
Admission: Free on MLK Day; Museum is open 10am to 4pm

Meet the Organizer
The Cleveland History Center (CHC) headquarters for Western Reserve Historical Society, houses exhibits that tell the story of Northeast Ohio through items, documents and artifacts from a variety of collections. Through the use of its vast and varied collections in the areas of family history, community history, entrepreneurship, and technological innovation, Cleveland History Center provides the public with a much-needed sense of place in today’s mobile society, and a base for learning about invention and ingenuity that can be transferred into modern economic expansion.
