Hands ON! Foley for Families
Saturday, May 2 | 11am-3pm | Cleveland History Center
“Innovation starts somewhere. It’s not just the tools, but the person with the vision who is using them.” – Robert Banks
Step into the world of sound in filmmaking! Families will experiment with foley techniques to create their own sound effects—everything from footsteps to creaking doors to cartoonish boings. Tap, shake, scrape, and layer everyday objects to hear how sounds transform a scene, then watch (and listen!) as your creations sync with short film clips. Drop in anytime to play, explore, and take home your own mini soundtrack. Perfect for ages 5–105, it’s a hands-on celebration of creativity, invention, and the behind-the-scenes magic of movies.
